This series is an exploration of the many layers within motherhood, the sacrifices and the blessings. A testament to divine femininity, identity and the self that is lost and found.

The Leader Mother is a beautiful woman, with chocolate brown skin and a stunning face. Her hair is a visual representation of an afro made of botanical shrub, dense, textured, beautiful, rich and full of life. Hints of gold leaf detail offers an eye-catching glimmer of style and essence as she appears, moving happily across the canvas. She wears a bright yellow sun dress with pink flowers and luscious green leaves. She is walking, walking with her are a pig, a duckling and a mouse. These animals are very relevant to the studies of this series and they all bare relevance to the struggles of mothers with postpartum depression and mental health. Behind her is a multidimensional landscape of layered architecture stood before some of the world's most infamous landmarks. The base layer of the landmarks are gold leaf, with acrylic and gouache paint layered over the top for detail and definition. Reflecting light and warmth. The colour palette is rich and vibrant, with a warm blue sky, featuring a slight vignette in the corners. The Leader Mother is walking, leading her family towards success every day, in every place.
